Benefits to Care for You and Your Family
At NORC, we place great value on supporting the health and wellness of our workforce. Our people are our greatest asset, and we are committed to offering comprehensive compensation and benefits packages that empower you to care for yourself and your family.
Paid Time Off (PTO) and Flexible Working Arrangements
NORC offers a generous vacation package starting at an annual accrual of 17 days per year for full-time staff. Employees accrue PTO hours for each paid hour of service. We also offer flexible working arrangements for most full-time positions.
Paid Parental Leave (PPL)
Caring for a new infant or newly adopted child is one of the most rewarding and invaluable times. To help you focus on your new addition, NORC provides four (4) weeks of 100% PPL.
Holiday and Floating Holiday Observance
We observe ten (10) paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one (1) floating holiday. NORC provides floating holidays as a paid day off from work (separate from PTO accrual) to accommodate the diverse needs and interests of our workforce. You may use it for any personal reasons, including to take the day off for a cultural or religious holiday observance that isn’t part of the company’s paid holidays; a day of service in the community or to celebrate special occasions; or you may decide to use your floating holiday for any personal reason, such as a wellness day.
Education Assistance
NORC provides tuition reimbursement up to $5,250 per calendar year for undergraduate and graduate courses after six (6) months of eligible employment. NORC also offers employees an opportunity to enroll in professional certification courses, seminars, conferences and continuing education courses as the professional development budget permits.
Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program
Under this program, you may qualify for forgiveness of the remaining balance due on your eligible federal student loans after you have made 120 payments on those loans under certain repayment plans while employed full time by certain public service employers. Since you must make 120 monthly payments on your eligible federal student loans after October 1, 2007, before you qualify for the loan forgiveness, the first cancellations of loan balances will not be granted until October 2017.

Invest in Your Future Financial Goals with our Retirement Programs
Control how your money is invested with our TIAA administered 403(b) retirement and supplemental retirement programs. Employees can select from a wide array of funds, meet with a financial counselor, and attend financial education webinars to support retirement goals.
Saving for retirement is an important choice to make for staff who are planning for life after their career. All full-time and part-time employees have the option to voluntarily contribute a pre or post tax percentage or flat dollar amount of their biweekly salary to their individual 403(b) supplemental retirement account.
After 1,000 hours of service, staff members who are 21 years old and up become eligible to receive annual discretionary contributions to their retirement account paid for by NORC. Employees are not required to contribute to their individual retirement account to receive a contribution from NORC. Contributions are immediately vested (fully owned by the employee) and are deposited into individual retirement accounts.
