Alicia Tabliago

Alicia is a senior research director in the Economics, Justice & Society department at NORC at University of Chicago. She has over 20 years of experience in program development and implementation, stakeholder engagement, policy analysis and technical assistance in the criminal court system and in the non-profit victim advocacy arena. Her expertise is in domestic sex trafficking, sexual assault response, criminal justice systems, problem-solving courts, and trauma-informed approaches for justice-involved individuals. Alicia’s current work is centered around program implementation, data analysis and evaluation, technical assistance, and strategic communications for several federal government agencies and large foundations.
Alicia’s current work consists of data collection design for the Department of Justice, evaluation training and technical assistance for the Department of Defense Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Office, stakeholder engagement and web-based collaborations for the Department of Health and Human Services, qualitative analysis for the Bureau of Justice Statistics, and evaluation for the MacArthur Foundation Safety and Justice Challenge.
Prior to NORC, Alicia was a Coordinator for the New York State Unified Court System and Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas in Pittsburgh, PA where she developed policies, designed and implemented problem-solving courts including sex offense courts and human trafficking intervention courts, and designed identification tools for justice-involved survivors. Prior to that work, she was the Senior Sexual Assault Response Staff for the sexual assault advocate program at the Erie County Rape Crisis Center and was stationed in the Buffalo Police Department, Sex Offense Squad.
