Anna focuses on development and management of large or complex field data collection projects.

Anna is a senior research director in the Health Sciences department with nearly 15 years of survey research experience. She oversees design and management of large, complex field data collection projects. She has been involved in many aspects of survey research, including sample design, questionnaire development and testing, interviewer training, data collection management, and data delivery.

Anna is currently the project director for the Maternal and Child Health Jurisdictional Survey (JMCH), a survey to collect key maternal and child health indicators in the eight U.S. jurisdictions (American Samoa, Palau, Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands, Marshall Islands, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, and the Federated States of Micronesia). She is also the Associate Project Director of the National Social Life, Health and Aging Project (NSHAP) a longitudinal study that integrates survey and biomeasure data collection to examine the health and social relationships of older adults.

During her time at NORC, Anna has worked on a variety of projects, specializing in field data collection. For these projects, she oversaw training and data collection, including developing training and data collection plans, materials, and monitoring reports, as well as managing the field work. Prior projects include: the Kentucky HEALTH Survey, the National Children’s Study (NCS), and the Residential Energy Consumption Survey (RECS). She has co-authored papers and presentations on data collection topics such as household screening, training, and gaining cooperation.

Anna is actively involved in the American Association for Public Opinion Research (AAPOR), currently serving on the Executive Council as the Secretary Treasurer. Prior to NORC, Anna was involved in research on Maternal and Child Health at the University of Illinois-Chicago, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, and Northwestern University.
