Chrys is a senior statistician with NORC in the Statistics & Data Science department where she contributes to sample design, weighting, imputation, variance estimation, and predictive modeling.

Chrys is part of the team conducting the longitudinal data collection effort of current Medicare beneficiaries through the Medicare Current Beneficiary Survey (MCBS) for the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). She contributes to the sampling, weighting, imputation, and final data analyses. She led the sampling and weighting aspects of a supplemental survey of a subset of Medicare beneficiaries aligned with a Next Generation Accountable Care Organization (NGACO) to assess the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on healthcare access.

Prior to joining NORC, Chrys worked as a data analyst and statistician for Insight Policy Research in the DC area, providing statistical and analytic expertise to government clients in areas including health, education, food & nutrition, and family support services research. She simultaneously served as an adjunct lecturer with Georgetown University, teaching undergraduate classes in Calculus and Pre-Calculus. She began her professional career as a high school mathematics teacher.

Chrys is a member of the American Association for Public Opinion Research (AAPOR) and the American Statistical Association (ASA) and has presented research at the annual Joint Statistical Meetings and AAPOR conferences.
