Jasmine is a senior statistician in the Statistics & Data Science department at NORC. She has more than six years of experience in statistical analysis and survey methodology, with responsibilities in the areas of sampling design and selection, survey weighting, population control totals, and data analysis.

Jasmine contributes to the sample design, weighting, and estimation for the National Immunization Survey (NIS). She leads a team to plan and select samples, as well as to monitor survey production for the NIS. In addition, Jasmine is part of the team doing weighting and research for AP VoteCast, a modern, more accurate approach to election polling developed by The Associated Press and NORC. Finally, Jasmine also serves as a lead statistician for AmeriSpeak, NORC’s breakthrough panel-based research platform, and was responsible for overseeing study design, post-survey data adjustments, variance estimation, and survey data analysis for various AmeriSpeak projects. She excels at designing and executing very complex sampling designs and weighting plans including using TrueNorth, an innovative NORC method for small area estimation modeling, to reduce bias when combining a non-probability sample with a probability sample.

Prior to joining NORC, Jasmine received her master’s degree in statistics from the University of Chicago. She also served as an NSF research assistant supporting economic research on labor mobility during the Great Depression.
