Lauren is adept at leveraging multiple areas of NORC’s broad expertise to deliver high-quality results to clients and successfully manages all aspects of research projects. She effectively plans and manages data collection projects from start to finish, understands system impacts on efficient data collection and has robust problem-solving skills when challenges arise so that goals are met on schedule and within budget. Maintaining longitudinal panels with high response rates through innovative contacting, locating and payment strategies, has been a particular focus of her work over her time in survey research.
Lauren has played an integral role in coordinating and executing the data collection efforts including the last several rounds of both active cohorts of the National Longitudinal Survey of Youth for the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Component 2 EEO-1 for the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the Entrepreneurship in the Population (EPOP) survey with the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation and the Entreprenuership in the Population: Indiana (EPOP-IN) with the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership (CICP).
Starting her career as a phone interviewer and having many different roles and positions throughout her early experiences in survey research, Lauren has not only overseen most data collection tasks, but has been in the shoes of those that complete the day-to-day tasks. This prior experience gives Lauren a unique perspective on how best to maximize efficiencies, manage and train staff and provide high data quality outcomes through the life cycle of data collection efforts.
