Rob's contributions at NORC span health care, human resources, and agriculture. His proficiency in Python and R, coupled with strategic thinking, enable him to challenge the status quo through data-driven methodologies. As a data engineering lead, he revamps data pipelines and optimizes data flow for robust insights and analysis.
As the technical lead for the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Economic Research Service data management project, Rob ensures effective data handling and management. He also provides data engineering support to clients such as Human Services Research Institute, the Health Care Cost Institute, and the Washington Education Research and Data Center. Rob’s skills allow him to address intricate analytical challenges and driving innovative solutions.
Before NORC, Rob worked in a specialized division within Boeing Commercial Airplanes dedicated to the rapid prototyping of cutting-edge technologies. Within this group, he led initiatives involving the innovative use of 3-D printers, the development of training programs using augmented reality, and the creation of enterprise solutions harnessing the power of machine learning. He also pioneered the development of career pathways for engineers with a deep passion for data science, embodying his ability to influence and reshape organizational cultures. Rob’s efforts earned him Boeing’s Ground Midcourse Defense Innovation Award and the Boeing Analytics Innovation Award.
