Ashani Johnson-Turbes Joins CDC’s Communications & Public Engagement Working Group

NORC is pleased to announce that Ashani Johnson-Turbes, PhD, vice president and director of NORC’s Center on Equity Research, has been nominated to serve on the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Communications and Public Engagement Workgroup (CPEW).
The CPEW convenes experts in health communication, community engagement, behavior change campaigns, and other related areas to advise the Federal Advisory Committee to the Director, CDC, on how the agency can communicate directly and more effectively with the public, with a focus on reaching local communities.
