You don’t have to have the coronavirus to be suffering during the COVID-19 pandemic. As millions of Americans have dealt with unemployment, the loss of a loved one, and the isolation that comes with social distance, many people have struggled with feelings such as anxiety, fear, and loneliness.
To help people cope with these challenges, NORC developed How Right Now, a communication initiative to increase people’s ability to adapt and be resilient throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. How Right Now uses targeted messages—including a video of real people talking about their emotional responses to the pandemic—to drive audiences to a website full of evidence-based, feeling- and situation-specific resources. The website and its resources are available in both English and Spanish.
How Right Now is informed by the trusted voices of influential local, regional, and national organizations that are also actively helping to disseminate products and resources to their communities. It was made possible with funding through the CDC Foundation and developed in collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
