Junelle Speller Joins NORC as Senior Vice President of Health Care Strategy
CHICAGO, March 27, 2023 – NORC at the University of Chicago is pleased to announce Junelle Speller as the new senior vice president (SVP) of the Health Care Strategy (HCS) department. Speller is an accomplished health care executive with more than two decades of experience driving health care policy, research, and strategy to improve American health care and quality of life. She has a proven record of identifying gaps, linking disparate issues, and translating data into meaningful action. Her expertise will be invaluable in further building and expanding our services to meet client needs.

Speller joins NORC from the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation (PFF), where she served as vice president of PFF Registry. She oversaw strategy, finance, governance, and marketing, and led a comprehensive national research initiative on all-cause pulmonary fibrosis and interstitial lung disease.
Prior to joining PFF, Speller led health care strategy, business development and management at various health care firms and organizations, including as an independent consultant. Speller began her career with the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), where she developed and analyzed health policy in clinical care, finance, practice management, and quality. Speller worked to raise awareness of the importance of quality across the organization and developed quality measures in collaboration with various organizations including the National Committee for Quality Assurance and the National Quality Forum.
Speller holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management and a BA in biology from Yale University.
She is vice chair of the Board of Directors of Snow City Arts, a Chicagoland organization that provides arts education to hospitalized children.
