Worker Voice Study
The NORC Behavioral Economic Analysis & Decision-Making (BEAD) team conducted the Worker Voice Study, a survey commissioned by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Sloan School of Management. This study collected and analyzed information from approximately 4,000 workers across the country to understand how workers perceive and assess their current work situation.
The BEAD team worked closely with the MIT principal investigator to provide research support through the survey process and address research needs and gaps related to measuring workers’ voices (their influence at work) and their opinions. As part of the survey design, NORC also conducted cognitive and usability testing to improve the survey instrument before data collection. Data from the study will become essential for academic research and publications.
