Assessing the effectiveness of health care programs and initiatives.

Serving the health care needs of an increasingly diverse population while managing health care spending requires improvements in how health care services are paid for and coordinated. These improvements often address social determinants of health which can drive the health of individuals and health care spending overall.

NORC’s Health Care Evaluation team supports that process by examining whether health initiatives are achieving their intended outcomes for patients, providers, and communities. Then we go beyond reporting on if these initiatives are working to provide quantitative and qualitative insight into exactly why they are working or not.

Our work tackles some of today’s most significant health care challenges, including rising costs, achieving health equity, and enabling necessary access to care.
