Naomi has over 10 years of experience designing epidemiologic studies with particular interests in how public policies shape behavior and contribute to health disparities among racial/ethnic minorities, sexual and gender minorities, and those at the intersection of these two groups. She brings a strong quantitative skill set with expertise analyzing data from surveys, surveillance systems, and administrative sources.
Naomi provides leadership and expertise on study design for the NIH All of Us project to ensure that NORC’s All of Us Program Management Platform is compliant with IRB protocol. In this role, Naomi coordinates critical conversations between the National Institutes of Health and NORC’s technology partners about compliance risks.
Naomi was a Cancer Prevention Fellow in the Health Behaviors Research Branch of the Behavioral Research Program at the National Cancer Institute from June 2021 to January 2024. Her doctoral research examined how alcohol policies and nondiscrimination laws contribute to binge drinking disparities among sexual minority adults in the United States. Results from Naomi’s prior research studies has been published in several high impact journals including American Journal of Preventive Medicine, Cancer, Drug and Alcohol Dependence, and LGBT Health.
