She has provided project management and research support to a variety of projects, including small, one-year projects to multi-year, multi-million dollar contracts.
Kate currently manages NORC’s efforts supporting the Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (ODPHP) at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in the development and implementation of Healthy People 2030. In this role, she oversees NORC’s administrative support to ODPHP, which has included support for the Secretary's Advisory Committee on National Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Objectives for 2030. She has also conducted research to inform the implementation of Healthy People 2030, including a recent study to assess how states develop their State Health Improvement Plans.
Kate is also the project manager for a large, cross-center project for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) focused on improving processes for identifying and reporting disaster-related deaths. In this role, she coordinates a team of 15 staff who are conducting a variety of evaluation and research activities to support this effort.
